“旅行团”由艺术家李致恿、史镇豪、朱建林在2016年发起，意图通过身体的游走，制造/转移一种临时的时空关系，勘察“城市”在今日的意味，辨析“地方”“在地”“本地”“当地”的变动，进而梳理它们跟实践／创作的关系，形成联合工作的可能。

2016年，“旅行团”得到时代美术馆“榕树头空间”及黄边站的支持，诞生了第一回“榕树头旅行社”，成功组织顺德、东京、上海、沈阳、武汉、香港、广州等七个城市的旅行团。是次项目中，我们在广州公开招募了来自不同领域的报名团友，并邀请目标城市的艺术家/在地工作者规划旅行路线，重点考察了当地的青年自我组织/空间的社群形态、组织经验和运营方法，联合举行了多种形式的“上阳吧台”。这些交流和身体感受的积累，在大家回到广州后，也参与和促成了上阳台实体空间的落地。

2019年，“旅行团”得到和艺术基金的资助支持，将于3-7月份启动第二回。过去几年，我们频繁感受到广州与东南亚诸城市的相似，在这里，东南亚是文化意义上的，而不只是地缘概念的。我们将把重庆、曼谷（泰国）、河内（越南）、雅加达（印尼）、日惹（印尼）作为第二回的目的地，以及持续地组织本地（广州）团。

我们邀请了对这些城市有实践经验和研究兴趣的策展人、研究者作为领队，他们会与当地的艺术家/机构对接，规划路线，招募有意愿及相关计划的朋友们一同游走、交流、工作。除了延续对各地青年自我组织/空间的考察，“旅行社第二回”还希望从具体的工作切入，以研究和实地合作的方式启动关于工作方法的对话与梳理。我们期待着突破地域限制和刻板印象，挣离空间/实践的惯性，以此促进南方语境下的实践联结、拓展、深入。

Traveller, a project initiated by artists Li Zhiyong, Shi Zhenhao and Zhu Jianlin in 2016, intends to establish or transfer a temporary relationship between space and time, by wandering in the cities. By investigating what city means today, and furthermore, distinguishing between “place”, “on-site”, “native” and “local”, it reconstructs its relationship with practice/creation and explores the possibility of collaboration.

In 2016, supported by the “Banyan Commune” of Times Museum and HB Station, the first “Banyan Travel Agency” was launched by Traveller. Trips to Shunde, Tokyo, Shanghai, Shenyang, Wuhan, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, etc. were successfully organized. In this project, we have openly recruited members from different fields in Guangzhou. By inviting artists/local practitioners from target cities to plan itineraries, our focus is local youth’s self-organization/space, which includes their community formation, organization experience and operational methods. To achieve this goal, a variety forms of “SoengJoengBar” will be held.

Supported by HAF, Traveller will launch another project from March 2019 to July 2019. During the past few years, similarities between Guangzhou and Southeast Asian cities have frequently been noticed. Southeast Asia is more like a cultural than just geographical concept. We have chosen Chongqing, Bangkok (Thailand), Hanoi(Vietnam), Jakarta (Indonesia), Yogyakarta (Indonesia) as our destinations this time, as well as organizing more local (Guangzhou) trips.

We have invited curators and researchers who have practical experience and research interests in these cities as our guides. They will connect with local artists or institutions, make itinerary plans and recruit friends who have the intention and schedule totravel, communicate and work. Apart from continuing the investigation of self-organization/space of young people, the second round of Travel Agency Project also hopes to, using specific works as a starting point, initiate dialogues and organizations on working methods in forms of research combined with field cooperation. We are looking forward to breaking down geographical limitations and stereotypes, breaking away from the inertia of space/practice, to promote connection, expansion and deepening of practice in the southern context.
