This partnership was previously hinted at during the establishment of Xingji Meizu Group on March 8, when the company subsequently announced its product launch would be held in Shanghai on March 30. At the upcoming event, Meizu and Geely will unveil new products, including the Meizu 20 series mobile phones, the new Flyme 10 operating system, the Flyme Auto automotive operating system, and the Lynk & Co 08.

The Lynk & Co 08, previously code named the DX11, is a new energy medium-sized SUV based on the CMA2.0 architecture, and will be the first car to feature the Meizu Flyme Auto system.

The new model will be equipped with the Lynk E-Motive intelligent electric hybrid system. The vehicle's appearance has been teased by Lynk & Co, showcasing a distinctive design concept with Y-shaped headlights that the company calls the "dawn light" similar to the auto brand’s previously introduced “The Next Day” concept car. The Lynk & Co 08 is set to make its debut on March 30, with expectations to be sold later this year. While specifics regarding its powertrain have not yet been released, the model is said to feature a 1.5T EM-P plug-in hybrid system.
