艺术家NYSomeTimes（国倩颖），本科毕业于清华大学化学工程与工业生物工程，曾获得全奖成为美国理海大学博士候选人。从事纳米材料研究，却在答辩前毅然选择退学，前往加州艺术大学转修视觉艺术。多年的科研背景，让NYSomeTimes在创作中格外重视物理世界的规则，她以流畅跳跃的线条构建多个视觉及信息层级，在二维平面上打造一个理性而浪漫的物理世界。NYSomeTimes (Qianying Guo), graduated from Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Bio-Chemical Engineering, received a full scholarship and became a PhD candidate at Lehigh University in the US. She chose to give up her doctorial degree after 5 years of Nano material research before the PhD defence and went to California College of the Arts (CCA) to explore visual arts. With her scientific research background, NYSomeTimes pays extreme attention to the physical rules in her creation. She builds a visual hirerachy structure with smooth and jumping lines, imagining a rational and romantic physical world on a two-dimensional plane.对比实验 Comparative Experiments

陷入爱河，你还是个孩子 Falling In Love, You Remain A Child不满足于科学中的冰冷高深，NYSomeTimes一直关注并强调艺术的可触及性。她在艺术创作中以70年代活跃于纽约的涂鸦艺术家凯斯·哈林（Keith Haring）为偶像，以简单的线条涂鸦在公共空间创作来为混凝土森林混入艺术信息。NYSomeTimes创作中的经典形象是一个丰润的抽象人物，借由细致却简单的线条，将人与人之间不同形式的身体部分穿透并连接，组成一个不可分割的网络，宛如现实世界中繁复混乱，却又自成一体的规则构造。
Not satisfied with the esotericism in science, NYSomeTimes has always focused on the accessibility of art and emphasized it in her own work. In her artistic creation, she sees Keith Haring, who was active in New York in the 1970s, as an icon and inspiration for her art. Keith Haring created graffiti with simple lines in public spaces and included provocative information in the concrete jungle of New York City. For NYSomeTimes, her iconic visual creation is an abstract chubby human figure with three boobs. Inspired by the CRISPR technology in science, she used this biomorphic figure to challenge the orthodox perception of sexuality, aesthetics and what life should be. Through meticulous but simple lines, different forms of body parts are penetrated and connected to form an inseparable network, which of a self-contained rule in complex chaos. 可围可乐神仙水 <2022-Shanghai-Home Party Series>

对比实验，即是在实验过程中设置两个或两个以上的实验组，通过对结果的比较分析来探究某种因素对实验对象的影响。同时这也是NYSomeTimes借用多年实验室生涯中的研究经验进行架上创作的方式——艺术家将同一个形象，通过改变画面尺寸、构图配比、色彩、背景，以及创作媒介等因素，实验出不同的绘画效果。此次展览旨在将展览空间打造成艺术家的实验空间，充分展现艺术家创作的实验过程与成果。
A comparative experiment is to set up two or more experimental groups during research, and to explore the influence of a certain factor on the experimental object through the comparative analysis of the results. NYSomeTimes employed this science research method in her artistic creation ——experimenting with different painting effects by changing the size, composition, background color and medium in the same image. This exhibition aims to turn the gallery space into a 'lab' space, demonstrating the experimental processes and results of the artist's creation.
