复旦发展研究院金砖国家研究中心承办上海市教委下达的上海暑期学校（金砖国家项目），旨在为来自金砖国家的青年学生打造友谊与共识的平台，推动金砖国家青年一代对中国社会文化和政治经济发展、金砖国家合作与全球治理变革的了解与兴趣，促进彼此交流，夯实金砖合作的民众基础。

复旦大学“上海暑期学校（金砖国家项目）”（下称金砖暑期班）自2014年开始至今已成功举办九届，本次金砖暑期班也是疫情改为线上形式以来首次回归线下。

2023年金砖暑期班将于7月10日至8月4日在复旦大学进行。欢迎对金砖国家相关研究有兴趣的同学积极报名！

课程介绍

2023金砖暑期班课程包括“全球治理和金砖合作”、“中国的政治与外交”、“欢乐上海” 三大模块，其中“全球治理和金砖合作”、“中国的政治与外交”分别为2个学分，共4学分。

费用

本届暑期班项目将向中国学生提供5-10个学费减免名额，择优录取。获得此名额的同学免除项目学费（8600元），住宿自理。项目活动费用，及期间饮食、交通、保险等其他个人费用需要自行承担。

Organizer

The Shanghai Summer School (BRICS Program) 2023 by Fudan University aims to provide students and young researchers from BRICS countries an opportunity to better understand BRICS, China, Shanghai and Fudan University. 

Introduction to the Curriculum

The program provides the participants with around a one-month lectures, consisting of three modules: "Global Governance and Cooperation among BRICS", "China's Politics and Diplomacy" and "Happy in Shanghai", among which "Global Governance and Cooperation among BRICS", "China's Politics and Diplomacy" take 4 credits.

The curriculum is listed as below:

Time and Place

Duration: July 10 – August 4, 2023

Place: Handan Campus, Fudan University

Candidates and Tuition

Candidates: Undergraduates, graduates or research fellows.

Tuition and other fees:

※ Due to the renovation plan, the housing supply on campus is relatively limited so the accommodation fee may change. Stay tuned to the announcement afterward for more details.

The allocation of rooms depends on the available rooms provided by international students' accommodation office.

Self-financing events on the schedule are not included in tuition. Round trip tickets between your country and China, visa fee, meals and other personal costs should be paid by yourself. Cultural trips around Shanghai are self-financing events. The travel expenses are to be confirmed.

• A junior researcher could send us your certificates of honor

• Statement of purpose

• At least one letter of recommendation given by a professor or an associate professor

2. Application Entry:

All the application materials should be directly sent to our e-mail address (bricssummer@126.com).

3. Application Period: until May 5, 2023

The duration period for sending materials and recommending students by partner universities is until May 5, 2023.

4. Announcement Date: May 10, 2023 

The admission name list for the scholarship students will be published on May 10 through the BRICS Information Sharing & Exchanging Platform (www.brics-info.org) and our Facebook (FUDAN BRICS Summer Program).

5. Students recommended by partner universities who are not selected as scholarship students can contact us to be self-financing students without applying.
